Movies with open endings are movies where the writer does not give a clear or definite conclusion at the end of the movie. Let's say a romance movie, after the main couple have had countless difficulties and problems in their relationship to the point of separation for example ends with the couple just smiling looking each at other. There is no conclusion if they actually came back together or got married, but viewers have to fill in the gap themselves. Are you a fan of this kind of endings?

I don't like a movie with an open ending though we can evaluate how it will be ended. The viewers will get mad and give a bad feedback. I always see this happening and after the movie ended the viewers like to strike if only in real m

Same here, i prefer a more direct and closed ending. This way I don't have to guess anything, but am sure about how it ended.

I prefer movies with closed endings. I don't enjoy guessing what really happened. Hehe.
Exactly, movies with open endings often have a lot of what if which can be annoying, especially if you are the type who tends to think too much.

That's also what I like not an open ending one. I never watch watch a movie from the same owner or producer.

You don't watch movies from the same producer? So do you check the producers of a movie before watching?

Basically, these are movies where the ending is expressed or imagined by the viewer. I admit I've rarely seen such movies I like these for the "ambiguity" factor.
One of these that has become a cult classic is Blade Runner, where the protagonist played by Harrison Ford, is he also a replicant or not? Well, this element allows viewers to interpret the ending in different ways.

I don't think i have watched the movie blade runner before though. Maybe i we check it out. Yea there are some that might actually make sense, but i still prefer ones with a definite ending.

Well my dear friend I don't know your age but you seem young. I'll just tell you that Blade Runner is a movie that came out in 1982.

No, I definitely don't like open endings, quite the opposite, I dislike being left to my imagination to think about what happened next, I prefer closed endings, it doesn't matter if it's a bad ending, although I don't like it either, but I prefer it to be a closed ending where the story concludes and doesn't end in nothingness.

I don't like open endings. It annoys me, however, we can still get the hints of its possible ending. I like an ending of my preference which is which in my short stories, I ended them satisfactory for the readers to feel happy.

A smiling expression on both partners is an indication that they are going to live happily ever after like a fairy tale.

Lol yes that's is true, but it could also indicate that they are happy with their current level of relationship, what if they decided not to have kids or get married? So open endings usually comes with a lot of what if.

Each couple has the right to live their lives according to their terms and conditions.

Avengers don't have clear endings every time but from this reason such movies should have part 2 or few more parts. One day story should have end.
Yes but unfortunately most movies with an open ending do not have a sequel, they just leave it that way for us to interpret it whichever way we want to.

In this regard, many years ago I saw a movie in the theater that has no ending, in fact it lasts only 85 minutes. The title in Italian is Viaggio a Kandahar, in the original it is untranslatable because it would be this "سفر قندهار or Safar-e Qandahār".
I didn't like it at all, have you by any chance seen it?
