It certainly pays well but the important factors that determine your earning is traffic and traffic location.
It might be well paying but it definitely depends on your location and traffic is is fun but it is very hard to become one
For making videos you need a good camera set up and that needs investment. Writing content can be done through your smartphone nowadays.

From what I know, video content pays really well, but can be very competitive, so not everyone can make money out of it.

I think the earning rates on the video content niche really depends on the traffic and more especially the location for the traffic.
Yeah if you have huge views and can continue to draw traffic . You can make good money with ads
