I read of a story of two friends that went to get a health insurance. And after everything, the premium for one person was lower than the other.
What are the likely reasons that one person would pay a lower premium than the other for health insurance.

Age:Generally, older individuals pay more for health insurance because they are statistically more likely to need medical care.
and health Status:Pre-existing conditions or a history of illness can lead to higher premiums. If your friend has a generally good health profile, their premium will likely be lower.

I guess the health status of the individual also plays a major role in the price as well, those with one issue or illness might most likely have to pay more.

Yes the previous health insurance history, and the overall health of the insured play a key role in deciding the premium
