The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has ruled that all mobile phones must be completely switched off during flight take-off and landing.


Michael Achimugu, the NCAA’s director of public affairs and consumer protection, said the regulation concerning phones and other electronic devices in Nigeria has now been unifi
ed.
 
I think the authority start to speak up after last two weeks avoidable altercation between Airbom airline and one lady . The lady was asked to off her phone which she did not comply with the directives. The lady was disgraced and bundle out of the airline.

*deadpans* What took them so long?
I mean, that's been standard policy in the U.S., Canada and most Western countries for years now.
 
This was done long time ago in all domestic and international flights mobile phones to put off during flight. It's one cause of a plane crash mobile phone open. It's also announced by the flight stewardess. Why is it late in your country?
