Whether the answer is yes or no, it remains a complex issue with numerous angles to consider. Cryptocurrencies operate outside the control of central banks and governments, which can be appealing to those who distrust traditional financial institutions. Cryptocurrencies facilitate cross-border transactions quickly and with lower fees compared to traditional methods. The underlying technology of cryptocurrencies, blockchain, has the potential to revolutionize various industries beyond finance. More and more businesses are starting to accept crypto as a form of payment, and institutional investment is increasing.

Cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin, require a significant amount of energy to mine, raising concerns about their environmental impact. Many countries are exploring the possibility of issuing their own digital currencies, which could compete with cryptocurrencies.

While cryptocurrency has the potential to disrupt the financial system, it faces significant challenges that could prevent it from becoming dominant in all nations. It is more likely that we will see a mixed landscape where cryptocurrencies coexist with traditional currencies and CBDCs, each serving different purposes and catering to different needs. The future of cryptocurrency will depend on how these challenges are addressed and how governments and regulators choose to approach this emerging technology.

In my country, it's beyond reality that cryptocurrency will be the currency. Even myself, I will not like it. It will be forever, PESO, our Ph currency. It's reflected in the Ph history. It will never happen.

It's possible things might come to this, but at the moment i don't see this happening, it still has a long way to go for it to happen.
For me, it seems impossible, but who knows in the coming years, 40 years from now he he. I strongly believe that Filipinos will not agree on this.

Lol true, but anyways like you say who knows? Time will tell how things would turn out at the end of the day.

Cryptocurrency is unlikely to become the dominant form of currency for all countries. Although it can be used as a means of payment or money transfer, most institutions use crypto or Bitcoin as an investment instrument, and for some countries, it serves as a reserve fund.

Yeah who knows if there's a sudden shift of the minds of our government leaders to embrace crypto as the Philippines currency. It will take forever for those who speculate.

Currencies like USD, YEN, CNY, PHP, IDR, etc., are symbols of a country. Therefore, if a country's official currency were eliminated or replaced by crypto, the country would lose its symbol, and all banks would close because, unlike fiat money, which is controlled by a central bank, cryptocurrency cannot be controlled. Therefore, crypto can only be recognized as a secondary legal tender and as a commodity.

Very well said my friend. It's indeed true that if a country, like my country replaces the Ph peso, then, my country loses its symbol. Though it's impossible, but your support is very well - explained.
