Some investors are being harmed or threatened to rob their money by well connected frauds who have access to confidential financial information. Do members know investors who face this problem and what can they do to prevent being harmed?

That’s a very worrying situation, and sadly it’s something that happens more often than we think, especially in places where financial regulations are not strongly enforced. When fraudsters manage to access confidential financial information, investors become extremely vulnerable, not only to financial losses but also to intimidation and threats. In my opinion, the first step for any investor is to make sure they’re working only with regulated brokers and platforms that guarantee data protection. Using two-factor authentication, secure email accounts, and keeping sensitive information offline whenever possible can also reduce exposure. Another important aspect is not sharing investment details publicly or even with acquaintances who might not have the best intentions. If someone feels threatened directly, it’s crucial to report the situation to the authorities immediately and, if possible, seek legal protection. Financial safety is not just about smart investing, but also about guarding personal security. Prevention is key here.

The stalker is monitoring the online activities very closely and making phone calls repeatedly, causing some mental stress to the investor who is receiving the phone calls.
Is there no way these people can be reported to prevent them from causing harms to legit investors and the likes?

This is always my take. They just have to be fished out and reported or criminal actions taken against them
