In India the job of teaching in schools the most ill paid job. The government schools pat at least Rs. 50000 but private schools pay peanuts that's not enough even to run their lives decently. The result is private schools appoint unskilled people and the standard of education is deteriorating. In government schools there's lot of corruption regarding appointments. The scenario of teaching in India is in a very bad state.

It's pretty much the same over here as well, teachers are underpaid, this has made a lot of people look down on the teaching profession.

That's right. People no longer respect the teaching profession.

For me l really don't understand why teachers are being paid so badly even on my country. Most people look down the teaching career for that reason.
In our country a teacher can hardly run a family.

Which is really sad cause the truth of the matter is that teachers deserve more credits than they are giving. They are do so much for the society.

Not all teachers are doing their job sincerely. It's those teachers who don't want to teach that cheat and give the profession a bad name.

True, you have a point there, we also have those who aren't ready to do their jobs as teachers as well.

Teachers should be chosen carefully as they develop the human brain and impart knowledge.

That would be tough for the teachers in India. In my country, most teachers from primary to tertiary are mostly MA and Ph. D. The basic salary for the high school teachers is $1, 300 USD. Teachers in the tertiary level both private and public receive a handsome pay.

In India primary teachers or tertiary teachers don't need to have a MA or PhD degree. Only the PGT need a MA degree and a B.Ed degree is a must in school. College lectures need a PhD to become professors.

In Pakistan same situation, I used to teach in a private school for almost 15 months. The school was private and nobody will believe on it as they were paying me only 7000 Rs per month. The reason was doing the job because I was nothing had to do instead of this job.
