You are right the mistress would just come in to milked the business and that would be it.

That is right, and the business owner keeps a blind eye to satisfy his wrong needs. He better invite his wife to be with him in the office to help him rather than busy engaging with a wrong affair.
 
Truth be told this has it's advantages and as well as it's disadvantages, it's not one sided.i have seen couples run businesses together, or work in the same company end they are a power team.
