Many of us enjoy spending a little extra after payday because eating out, shopping, or treating ourselves is nice “just this once.” For many, payday is the reward after weeks stretch of work, and spending on items that we “really don’t need” is justified. The little rewards return more than expected and can get out of hand.

What do you think — is it okay to splurge a little after payday as long as we budget well? Or should we be stricter with our spending habits right after getting paid?

In most cases it is usually due to low self discipline. And the lie we tell ourselves is that we have worked hard for it, so just this once lets get something just to reward ourselves.

Some people have been going through so much difficulty before that payday. They just want to relieve all those stress as the money comes in. It is not bad if done with intelligence such that you don't wreck yourself financially for the month.

This topic is very true. After hard work it is quite natural to want to give yourself a little treat. Eating out or buying something you like brings joy and provides motivation to continue working. However, it is very easy to fall into overspending without realizing it.

If someone has a good budget and follows it then treating yourself a little is not wrong. The problem comes when these small expenses become a regular occurrence every month. That is when a person starts to see that the salary does not meet the essential needs. It is good to be modest and restrain yourself when necessary.

Setting limits is important. You can say I will treat myself only to a certain amount and the rest will go towards savings or important payments. This helps to be happy without destroying financial plans. Life is to be enjoyed but it also requires a good spending plan.

I don't spend much from my money every pay day. It's just there in the bank. I only spend some pesos. We're sharing bills, food, and other stuff at home. I can spend some amount from my business. I'm not extravagant.

That's a great financial habit 💰. Having a disciplined spending habit is especially important when life is changing quickly. Putting money in the bank and spending only a little shows that you know how to prioritize. That's the first step towards financial freedom.

Sharing household expenses is also a smart thing to do. It shows solidarity and responsibility. Spending a little from your business is a great way to ensure that capital doesn't run out quickly. Many people spend without planning and end up regretting it. You're doing great 👏.

The three of us siblings all work. We share the bills, food and others. Sometimes I volunteer to pay all the bills. I started savings when I was 11 years old.
