According to the report, the death toll from a landslide that struck Indonesia’s Central Java province rose to 11, while 12 others remain missing as search and rescue operations continued on Sunday, according to an official. M. Abdullah, head of the Search and Rescue Office in Cilacap, where the landslide occurred, said that authorities are continuing search efforts for the remaining 12 victims after 11 victims have been found dead.

The report said that these 12 victims are still buried and can be found after the storm. The rescue team is still doing its tasks to locate those who are missing.

Additionally, on Friday, Indonesia’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency reported that 20 people were missing and three were confirmed dead following the landslide in Cilacap on Thursday.

It is very sad to hear about the tragedy in Indonesia and the loss of life due to the landslide in Cilacap. Personally, I believe that these natural events remind us how fragile our existence can be and the importance of being prepared for disasters. Although the authorities are doing everything possible to rescue the missing, it is always a very difficult and heartbreaking situation for the affected families. The number of people still missing shows how unpredictable nature can be and how vulnerable we are to these phenomena. I think that, in addition to rescue efforts, it is crucial that governments and communities implement prevention and mitigation measures to reduce the impact of future disasters. Solidarity and support for the victims and their families are also essential in times like these.

A calamity like a landslide has no second chance for an individual to survive in case they are swept away by the monster flood. May those who perished in the flood have eternal rest in peace. Hoping those 12 missing people will be saved alive. It is so a sad and scary incident.
