June 21 was recognized as International Yoga Day by UN eleven years back and today we celebrate 11th International Yoga Day. Yoga enthusiasts around the world are participating in it in huge numbers. Yoga is part of ancient Indian culture and over the period of time, people around the globe have realised it's benefits for overall holistic health and embraced it. Events are organized in various places where people are participating in huge numbers to do Yoga together.
Are you Yoga enthusiast? Have you participated in any such event on International Yoga Day? Did you see any happening around?

@eLdavis . Yes, UN has recognized a special day for Yoga to honour this ancient practice rooted in Hinduism and it's benefits to Humanity. It has been 11 years now. Our prime minister, Narendra Modi has to be credited for this day. He is a yogi himself and has played a key role in the global recognition of this ancient practice from our country and culture.
@Starmix , @Min George ,@King Belieal ....you all seem to be interested. I am sure that you will find some resources online to learn it.
@Trush Jodie . I am delighted to meet a yogi here.

That's pretty awesome though, yoga is not that popular here in my country, though there are people who specialize in this area.

@eLdavis . Oh! I see. It might not be so popular yet. But as more people specialize in it and train others, it might pick popularity in coming times. Also, UN recognizing it might give a boost to it's popularity even in countries where it is still in a budding stage.
