At least 19 vehicles at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 parking extension caught fire on Monday, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) confirmed.

"The spread of fire was fast, one vehicle caught fire and it was too late for the freighters to save the cars. News said most of the cars were severely damaged. Normal airport operations continued and no flight was disrupted despite that incident.

It was also reported no one was hurt from the incident and the airport authorities received the report about the fire at 1:28 p.m. and fire out was declared at 1:57 p.m. News said they are looking into several causes, including extreme heat and grassfires. The place was so windy and grassy, the cause of the fire

The MIAA has no liability regarding the incident as the parking area is leased to a private concessionaire.

Oh no this will really be devastating for the car owners. Cars are very expensive now.
That's right they felt devastated but NAIA isn't responsible for the fire, it's the lookout of the private businessman renting the space to manage a parking space. What a big loss but if insured less worries.

That's right if the cars were insured then less worries but would be worrisome for others.

They are still lucky because there was no-one got hurt. They can still buy a new car from the insurance payment.

It has become the habit of some frequent travelers not just flight crew to leave their cars parked at the airport grounds every time they fly to other country or even domestically. Some of the car's features still run like the alarm system so it's consuming battery. Extreme heat temperature considering that the parking lot is directly exposed to the sun could have ignited some mechanical fixtures and caused fire, or could be a grass fire. Had.they declared the cause?

That was one finding overheating, another was the heat index that burned the dry grasses, and they suspected the heat. It is so very hot in our country. We have to be very careful with fire,

Last week I saw 2 senior ladies burning the dry leaves they had gathered while sweeping their front yard. I just told the police about it to reprimand them. I will still check out if they did it knowing some of our young police they're not that alert.

That's right it is always about safety of lives first then other things can follow.
Yes as long as prepared. One way to stop pain is to insure the properties that's the duty of the insurance companies.

Yes, that'd why we have insurance here to help with the safety of things insured
That's the main objective of an insurance company to protect lives and properties. It lessen the nurden.
