Referring to the X account @qdayclock, there is a tweet that during this quantum computer has been touted as a threat to Bitcoin which uses the ECDSA digital signature scheme to verify Bitcoin transactions, if the quantum computer's ability can run the Shor algorithm effectively then it is likely to be able to extract the private key public key which means the security of Bitcoin holders will be threatened.
Several giant technology companies such as Google, Microsoft, IBM, Amazon, Alibaba have developed quantum computer technology.
Although according to the CEO and Co-Founder of Project Eleven, Alex Pruden, until now quantum computers have not been able to make Bitcoin the apocalypse, but to test scientifically, a competition was held for anyone who can hack/break Bitcoin cryptography with a quantum computer will get a reward of 1BTc.
