33-year-old woman has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after sexually ass@ulting an 11-year-old girl while falsely claiming to conduct a "v!rginity test." The Bindura Regional Magistrates’ Court delivered the verdict in a case that has sent shockwaves through the community.

The accused, known to the victim’s family, allegedly told the child she had been sent by her mother to perform the invasive examination. According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), the assault occurred on 26 April 2025, when the woman lured the girl into a private space, inserted her fingers into her own genitals, and then violated the child.
