From the report of Camp Olivas, Pampanga, Philippines, four high-profile fugitives were arrested in a series of one-day manhunt operations conducted by the Police Regional Office-Central Luzon (PRO3) on Aug. 1.
In a press release over the weekend, PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. said the operations targeted Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) at the regional, provincial, and municipal levels.
The report also stated that the fugitives were sought for various crimes, including rape and murder. In Bulacan, Angel Roque, 44, the top regional MWP, was arrested in Paombong for murder, with no bail recommended.
The report added that also arrested in Bulacan was John Alvin Villanueva, 23, of Zambales, wanted for two counts of rape. One case was non-bailable; the other carried a PHP200,000 bail. In Bataan, Gjay Santos, 28, was caught in Hermosa for two counts of rape, both non-bailable.
In addition, Efren Lubao, 47, a farmer and top MWP in Nueva Ecija, was arrested in Jaen for murder.
