The death toll from the building collapse in Lagos State has risen to five.

The building collapse happened at number 13 Wilson Mba Street, Maryland, Lagos State today Thursday, July 25.

Men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authoriy rushed to the scene for a rescue operation and were able to save some survivors.

Why did the home collapse? What was the cause? Was there an earthquake or a heavy rain and wind. I think the house was made of weak materials.
Your last line might just be the real cause as a lot of people wants to build with chesp materials and this is causing incessant collapsing

The homeowners should have inspected their home if almost to wreck not awaiting it to collapse and witness casualties. Lesson learned for them.

Well, some people do overlook things like this. They hudt believe they are covered at all cost so no need for any inspection.

Was the building insured? I hope the building was qualified to be insured. If it is made of wood, most likely the insurance coverage is small.
