60 Minutes News Crew Witnessess Chinese Attack Agst. Philippine Naval Vessel

That's how they're doing to the fishermen and even to the police officers in the Philippines. If the Philippines government has a warring mind them war may inevitably happen. But our country is small we have to extend our patience and tolerance unless extreme.

This is why you have alliances and the Philippines has one w/the U.S. via the 1951 Mutual Defense Treaty.
China knows this, which is why they're trying to force Filipinos' to leave the region w/out resorting to outright warfare.

Yes, that is true and the US always urges the Ph government to allow them to intervene the Chinese who are abusing the Ph marines and fishermen.

What China wants to do is provoke Manila into throwing the first stone; the problem for Beijing is that, so long as the U.S. stands by their Filipino allies, they won't actually cross it. People forget that under the language of the 1951 MDT btwn Washington & Manila, the U.S. is obligated to assist if and only if the Philippines are attacked.

If Manila first the first shot, the U.S. is under no obligation to enter the fray, which explains to some degree what China is doing; they want Manila to act unilaterally and then "convince" Washington to stay out of things. FWIW, Washington should do the same thing it currently does w/both Japan and South Korea - extend its' nuclear arsenal over the Philippines, because that would be a clear sign of U.S. support for our long-time ally in the Southwest Pacific.

My beloved country is so thankful for the all the time support from the United States of America. China is always assaulting my country. We're thankful our Presidents before and now have long tolerance and patience.
