A former SUG has been shot dead in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

A former SUG president identified as Endwell Ahuize Ejindu, has been shot dead in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers Nigeria

Reports states that Ejindu was ambushed and shot at close range at about 9pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Ejindu was the Student Union Government (SUG) President of the Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Port Harcourt, during the 2017/2018 academic season.

He was part of the youths who protested at the council headquarters on Tuesday chanting songs and waving an Ijaw Youth Council. He had left the protest where they were demonstrating against the tenure elongation of the LG chairmen in the state and boarded a motorcycle.

The motorcycle was heading to Ula-Pata road when the three gunmen opened fire on him. He died instantly while the motorcyclist who sustained gunshot injuries was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

We always hear news about killings anywhere in the world. Even in the Philippines, there are always shooting incidents.

Yes I think it is even worse in the US as we read about shooting incident all the time over there

That's true and the killers are minors. Their parents must not display their guns openly that may tempt their kids to do something bad.

That's right if possible parents should continue to educate their kids even when grown to do away with gangsterism

The best solution is to hide the gun. The kids are erratic and unpredictable. They do what they like.

I might be wrong. But most deaths of this nature in Nigeria are not always unconnected to cult clashes. And most student union leaders are always confirmed cultists.
