Aisha Lawal, a Nigerian lady, , has said that no woman can stop her husband from marrying women Allah has destined for him,

She wrote “If you like, make your jealousy dey cook beans. You can't stop your husband from marrying all the women Allah has destined for him. Better calm down anti alaseju,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Sunday.

What do you think of this?

it seems her religion has so brainwashed her that she sees nothing wrong with that. Good for her
Yea, these days if someone says it's working for them, I will leave them to believe whatever it is they want to believe.

That's not a brainwash. You have to respect other people's religions. That your religion told you to marry one wife, what makes it right? Men that married one wife still fail woefully.

Well, it is what it is. We sometimes follows dogma even when it is not suitable for us.

Every doctrine has dogma. Marrying one wife is a dogma as well as marrying multiple wives. It now depends on what individuals want for themselves. Anyone that has the means to take care of more than one wife is right marrying more than one.

Yeah different strokes for different folks but no body should be forced into it. Some monogamous men try to change to polygamist along the way by marrying another wife and that's wrong.

It's her belief and I can't judge her. I won't even call it a brainwash by her religious beliefs, every religion has such thing and it's your personal stand. But yes, from my personal standpoint, I am totally against polygamy or polyandry It's not acceptable thing for me in a civilized society. Somehow, I feel that it puts the sanctity of marriage in danger. Marriages are considered sacred and I can't imagine more than two people sharing this kind of intimate bond. That's my personal view.

That's also your belief. For some other people, polygamy even preserves the sanctity of marriage. I don't support polygamy though but those who practice it shouldn't be blackmailed.

God/ Almighty/Nature created Human Beings and it was human being who created religion and the religious preachings. And that did impact society in both positive and negative ways. But one universal thing is true that God created everyone equal irrespective of gender, creed, caste etc. well, that's the basic thumb rule of each religion. So, if a men has a privilege to marry multiple times, the women in the same religion should also. But if some gender preference is given, then it can't be the wish of the God. It is created and crafted by human being.
