A Philippine fighter jet and two pilots are missing following a rebel mission

Officials from the military have reported that a Philippine fighter jet, along with its two pilots, has gone missing after a mission against rebel forces in the southern Philippines. The FA-50 fighter jet lost contact with other aircraft in its unit, all of which successfully returned to the airbase in Cebu in the central Philippines. A large-scale search operation is currently ongoing, and the military remains hopeful that the two pilots are safe.
