Johan Jacobus Williams, a South African serial rapist and serial murderer, has been sentenced to eight life sentences and sixty years direct imprisonment, following his spate of brutal gender-based violence and femicide.


He was sentenced on Friday, September 20, 2024, in the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division.


The National Prosecuting Authority, Regional Communications Manager, Western Cape, Eric Ntabazalila, in a statement said he targeted desperate young women promising them employment opportunities, only for them to be found raped, murdered and buried in shallow graves.

In my opinion this sort of justice is not very justified for such heinous repeated crimes. It seem that either he was mentally sick or got habitual to these crimes not fearing the consequences. In either case, he is a dangerous one for the society. Why to let him live and stay in jail on the hard earned money of tax payers. I assume that the jail runs on tax payers money there too. Instead a death sentence would be more justified. That is my personal opinion. Human Rights don't exist or should not exist for such criminals who have become a habitual criminal and a dangerous one for society.

That's exactly my point. Jails are for people to get reformed and re-established in society. It acts as a period of correction. But these kind of criminals who are repeated offenders are either mentally sick or have got habituated to the crime. They are not worth the second chance.

I completely agree with you. There are some people that commit some heinous crimes that doesn't warrant any other punishment than the ultimate death sentence.

The police suppose to do more investigation and try to know whether he have accomplices. How can he kill women only him without other accomplices! What is the reason for the killing and raping. What is he achieving through it. If these questions are not properly dressed, the members or gang may be stil around.
