According to the report, a woman was chained and tortured in a backyard for months by individuals described as friends, who decided they didn’t like her anymore

The report also said that the law enforcement responded to a distress call on Oct. 30, 2025, at 9:09 a.m. at a residence in Austin, Texas, where they discovered a woman handcuffed to exercise equipment outside a home. The woman, who showed signs of physical distress and injuries from prolonged restraint, told officers she had been held captive for several months.

She was chained in a heavy metal so the police used force to cut it. The victim was sent to the hospital for evaluation and treatment

While securing the scene, officers detained multiple adults exiting the residence. Preliminary investigations suggest that several adults at the residence were involved in restraining and assaulting the victim.

The victim told authorities that she had been a longtime friend with one of the women in the house and visited often, but said that one day they decided they didn’t like her anymore and no longer allowed her to leave.

Five individuals were sent to the police for sentencing.
