Adelaide Writers’ Week faced backlash after author exclusion. For me, the most relevant aspect is cultural freedom. Personally, I think it’s worrying how politics interferes. What surprises me is the intensity of debate. For me, the most important step is dialogue. In the end, I believe festivals must protect artistic independence.
