So the other day in one of the news topics regarding ad implementation and stuff, the subject of seeing the Google Auto Ads came into question. At the time, after some minor tinkering, it was assumed the issues that were there, were fixed.

Figured I'd like to post this officially here, instead of the news topic. Better to track issues that way, than fill a topic on an announcement with issues.

Apparently the adfree settings isn't 100% solved. I've attached a few screenshots to show what the issue is.

Now sure, I can always turn on my adblocker, but I sworn the automatic ads were fixed the same day of the announcement, regarding adfree groups.

Thank you for providing those screenshots. It's late for me now, but I will work on resolving these tomorrow. We turned off anchor ads originally, which appeared to resolve the issue, however, new ads are now wanting to appear in different forum sections. I will take a look ASAP.

Still seeing them.

Worth to note that having the auto ads functionality code in a ad code entry that loads where google wants it to be placed, might help with disabling it for vip's.

It could be a cookie and cache issue. I removed auto-ads and the responsive code. It's only selected for the original header, footer, and every third post layout options, and subscribers are disabled from seeing the ad group. I no longer see any ads other than the ones specified.

Cleared my cookies and cache on the browser I am using, ended up getting logged out in the process. Still see them. Will test with a separate browser to see if it is the browser caching just not properly updating after clearing it, just a minute.

@Devin The other browser with fresh login details do not have the ads showing. So I am guessing it is a delay in cache clearing.

Do you have idea of offering people paid membership which will remove all ads from site?
This is currently offered. Bronze, Silver, and Gold membership packages all include ad free access. :)
