It is always a choice of elevating someone from the existing staff strength of the company to take the role of business manager, or bringing a external person for that position?

What are the advantages of sourcing the business manager from within the organization?

It could be from his educational qualifications factor. Another is from his work performance and very satisfactory evaluation results from a survey within that prospect'area or field of discipline . It could also be from under the table.

When a business manager comes from within, they already understand the philosophy of the organization and might likely command staff loyalty more easily.

If you promote a staff within an organization as a business manager, s(he) can adapt to the role more easily because s(he) understands the structure and culture of the organization. Promotion from within may also motivate other staff to work harder with an aim to get promotion.

One major advantage is that they already knows the ins and out of the business, it makes the work flow a lot easier.
That's right keeping a person that have worked in a place is just a continuation of what they were doing which will bring efficacy

Selecting a business manager from within the organization will be very beneficial if the prospective manager has the skills according to the job description and he also knows the company environment well.,
If the company hires outsider instead of promoting a qualified employee there will be a lot of adjustments to be done by both, the newly appointed manager, and the employers. It's best to promote next in rank within the organisation.

If there are several qualified people in the organization who meet the criteria in the job description but the company appoints a manager from outside, it will cause jealousy or envy, so that old workers become lazy to work.

Well, that could possibly happen. I also notice it in a bank where I save some money the new manager is from the other bank branch. The bank CEO did not promote an employee to a managerial position. The employers are hesitant to approach the new bank manager. It was told to me by my friend teller of the bank.
