Affiliate marketing without a site

I've been researching different ways to get started with affiliate marketing as a side hustle. In one of the threads I read somewhere, people mentioned using YouTube or social media instead. Has anyone tried just using their YouTube channel for affiliate promotions? Curious to hear how successful that can be without also having a dedicated website/blog to drive affiliate traffic. For those who have tried this approach, around how many subscribers or views did your videos need to start generating some affiliate sales?

Most top affliate networks don't accept affliate marketers without a website or active blog. For example commssion junction, don't accept marketers with social media handles. I think they are only targetting webmaster who have thousands of traffic on daily basis.

You can do affiliate marketing without a website but you need to know that you won't get the right results you supposed to get because all your advertising is going to be naked link but customers don't like using direct link to buy

You can use your social media sites and advertise on forums too. Just share your links everywhere
