According to the report, a new layer of AI-powered security is coming to US military bases. Texas-based LINEV Systems is deploying its BV6045 Weapons Detection Scanners to spot concealed guns, explosives, and other contraband before they slip past base security.

The report stated that by using dual-energy X-ray imaging and an automated detection process, the system can flag threats in real time, helping security teams respond faster and more accurately. It also reduces the need for manual checks, helping cut down on human error and speed up decision-making at high-traffic access points.

The report also stated that with its modular design and low training requirements, the BV6045 is fit for both fixed and mobile army installations.

Scott Ortolani, Chief Operations Officer at LINEV Systems, said that their system is AI-powered BV6045 units that deliver reliable, intelligent screening that meets the highest standards for military-grade security. He said that they are honored to support the US Army in strengthening its base security operations. The BV6045 rollout is part of a broader push to tighten base security as threats grow more complex.

The report added that from drones to physical intrusions, US officials have warned that bases around the world are becoming more vulnerable to attack. Beyond cutting-edge scanners, the military is also equipping troops with handheld counter-drone systems to boost base defenses.
