According to the report, Al-Qassam Brigades targeted an IDF engineering unit in Al-Rayyan, east of Rafah, by detonating a booby-trapped tunnel twice.
The first ambush on October 10, 2024, resulted in Israeli casualties. Anticipating a return, the brigades rigged the tunnel entrance again, leading to further injuries and deaths among the Israeli forces.
