Another misplaced priority in Nigeria

The Federal Government has approved the construction of a ₦1 trillion Metropolitan Rail Service in Kano State, a major infrastructure project aimed at overhauling urban transportation, reducing traffic congestion, and driving economic growth in the state’s metropolitan area. While this might seem good, is this what is actually needed? A lot of Nigerians have expressed their anger on X about our national grid always collapsing leaving us without power supply, yet the government is doing notting about it.

The agency assigned to it and the politician might have pocketed the money, which is why the constructions are not solid. That could be stressful, a government not fully dedicated to its mission and promise.
