According to the report, on Friday, South Korea's Constitutional Court upheld the impeachment of ousted President Yoon Suk Yeol, following his imposition of a brief martial law on December 3, which triggered a prolonged political crisis. With the court's confirmation of the impeachment, Prime Minister Han Duck-soo will remain as acting president until the inauguration of a new president. According to the South Korean Constitution, a presidential election must be held within 60 days of the court's ruling.
