In US, I have heard there are Antitrust regulation laws that promote fair competition in markets, preventing monopolies and anti-competitive practices. They maintain balanced business environment and protect consumers from price-fixing and other manipulative practices.
I expect other countries have them too in their own capacity. But do you think these laws are followed strictly ?

Antitrust regulation aims to prevent imperfect competition, such as monopolies and oligopolies, but in practice in the business world, businesses often carry out efforts that approach monopolies, such as cartels and acquisitions of similar companies, to reduce the level of competition.

But monopolies are not to blame for other people not deciding to do the same business as them or not having the resources, I don't see the point, it's limiting the profits of a vicious person for earning more than the rest when he deserves it.
