Are Free Blogging Platforms Really Good?

You can create a free blogs using website builders and free blogging platforms like weebly, wordpress, blogspot, etc. However, when you are creating a free blog, your website will have subdomain. In other words instead of my website dot com, you will get my website dot wordpress dot com. The major issues of using free blogs is it is really difficult to build traffic and it is also very difficult to monetize. If you want a website on your preferred name, you need to go for paid service.

Free platforms are great for starting out or testing ideas, but i agree, its tough to grow or earn much with a subdomain. I moved to a paid domain once i was ready to a take things seriously. It just gives more freedom and credibility when trying o monetize.

Some people create multiple free platforms then choice of platform which you will host will be harder especially if you have multiple free sites.
