Are travel expenses a major part of your expenses?

For personal work, I am travelling at least 4-5 times in a year in the last few years and travel expenses are a major part of my offline expenses. Do members of this forum spend a significant part of their total expenses on travel or do they usually stay in the same city?

While i love travelling, i don't travel often, unless there is something important i need to do and i have the funds to do so.

Of course yes. In my region the transportation costs are very high and most people in the low to middle income earners bracket suffer for that reason.

I enjoy traveling for leisure. Part of my savings is for travel. I travel once a year.

Travel expenses are not a major primary expense for me, I only set aside 5-10% of my main income/salary, but if there is a long trip plan and requires a larger cost then I will immediately add a percentage.

The time I made an international travels, I spent nothing. I was sponsored by my siblings. This time, I no longer plan to travel internationally because of my business, I cannot leave it for some weeks for my personal satisfaction. I won't close my offline and online business just to travel. I can travel nearby the city for some hours.

I always try not to, but I won't deny that more than once I've given myself a treat by spending a lot of money on a trip. There are places I've really wanted to go to and, well, it never hurts to give yourself that kind of treat. After all, money is for spending, not for saving, right?

Traveling by plane is relaxing not by a big bus, it's tiring. Plane fares are getting expensive by the day so it's better to save the money for the rainy days.

I don't travel so much. The only part of transportation that I spend money on is daily commuting around town.

Business travel expenses are the necessary expenses a person has while traveling away from their home

Even though I don't have a job right now, but where I live they've helped me find one, I still have to pay for public transportation to get around my city. Since my current financial situation is unfortunately not good, I'm entitled to an annual bus pass at half the regular rate. This reduced price still costs me €130/year, which anyway isn't a small sum.

At the moment i only travel when there is actually a need to, like there is no way around it, that's when i travel.

I don't have to travel for work. And my family members are around the city I live. I don't have to travel that much.

They are not major for me now as I hardly do a lot of travelling for now maybe in the future
