Are "WiFi Password Revealer" Apps Credible?

I've been seeing a lot of apps pop up recently that claim to be able to "reveal" or "crack" passwords for locked Wi-Fi networks. As someone who's often on the go and looking for reliable internet access, the idea is certainly tempting. However, I'm also pretty cautious about security and don't want to fall for anything that's too good to be true, or worse, put my devices at risk.

Those apps don't even have the capability to do what they do they say they would do. That speaks much about the their credibility.

I was curious about them years back and i tried a few, these apps don't work, so downloading them would he be a waste of time.
