You can actually do this if it your weekly routine in purchasing things for the family and for yourself. This way you will never run out of budget.

Your reasons are strong. They are all probable estimates why sometimes we cannot avoid to create the right estimation. There are sudden emergence of causes why our estimation failed. I always experience it.

I am very good with estimation. Whenever I make projections, I always know that they are not fixed and I give allowance to the left and the right.

I am pretty good with estimation. I do not create a budget for my personal finance. But I estimate my income and expenditure for each month with good accuracy. I give allowance for unexpected expenses.
