Does your government require online business sellers in your country to pay tax ? There was a resolution in the Philippines Lower House to tax the business sellers online. According to the congressmen, the online sellers are earning therfore they need to tax their business. However, the former Philippines president Rodrigo Roa Duterte opposed. He said that the online sellers cannot even earn a cent in a day, so he ordered to not taxing the online sellers.

What about in your country?

At the moment the tax payment systems has not included those earning online to pay for tax yet but what they are trying to do is ensure all banking apps or platform to deduct some certain amount of money from transactions being made by all citizens in the country which is more like a tax being paid for all transactions.
But never the less those earning online are still in a win situation compared to government workers.

I see, your government there is different. There is no imposition of tax payment to online sellers only the offline sellers. It seems your government doesn't sense the income of the online sellers.

Even if the government gets to impose such a rule or law for online earners to pay tax, there will definitely be a way to by pass it and no one will be able to notice that it is being by passed in my home country. People always think ahead in order to survive and make a living for themselves out here.

That's sad to know but there's no way our but to follow rules. If it can be done that way beyond the government's notice then that's so good.

In my city, that depends. If you are just an individual selling online, I don't think you have to pay tax. But if you have started an online shop with a business name, you have to pay tax.
I think you're correct that those sellers famous in a country like Shopee in the Philippines might have been sanctioned to pay tax. There are many here in the Philippines sellers with a name.
