The number of online freelancers who are selective about online jobs is increasing, particularly if they have extensive expertise and high-value skills. The mentor I've been following online advised that you should never sell yourself short. Choose online jobs that match your skills and expertise. If you have high-value skills, go for high-paying jobs. Sounds like it is easier said than done, right? It can be hard to be selective now that the competition is stiffer but what he said is true.

Yes when it comes to online jobs, I am usually selective, I don't want to pick up a job that I might not be able to to deliver in the end. So I always ensure the job fits me and I have all the tools needed to run the job.

I am selective and I do not deal with local customers, because I have powerful enemies who specialize in filing fake cases against innocent people . I mainly with foreign customers who pay very less.

Yes, I'm selective so that I don't just waste my time on unproductive sites. I only go for genuine paying sites.

Yes, be selective when it comes to spending time on websites. Choose only the ones that are reliable. This way, you can ensure that your time is well-spent and that you are not wasting it on websites that are not worth your time and attention.

Yes, only choose online jobs that you can do without a hitch. I do the same thing as I do not want to waste the time of the client.

That's right, a highly skilled freelancer should try more difficult and challenging jobs so he will get better pay. But jobs that require high skills also often take time to complete. So you also need to consider your free time.

If you have valuable skills, it is a good idea to pursue high-paying jobs and avoid undervaluing yourself. However, if you are new to the world of online freelancing, it is advisable to start with jobs that align with your current skills and expertise. By gaining experience, you can gradually raise your rates and charge more for your online freelancing services.

I am not very selective , because for me there are not so many sites that pay, and most of them pay a little anyway, so I have nothing to choose from

Yes, in terms of websites, you can just go for the ones that are legit.

If there's a pay and legit why should I turn down? If the site impresses my skill and style I might be paid better after proving to them.

Of course, you should go for a website that pays and avoid ones that do not.

We have to be selective as there are lot of scammers now and some pay peanuts and slog you.

I am a freelancer but I don't work for any freelancing sites. I mainly provide translation service. But I do it offline. I send my completed translation work to my client via email. The payrate I charge is higher than any of the freelancing sites.

Of course yes l do select the ones that earns at least something substantial. I usually avoid the ones that take ages to earn.
That's right you don't have to fall for all the jobs you see online. just go for the ones you can do.

Yes, it is a great idea to charge your clients higher rates, especially if you know the value of your services. Those who are just starting out can initially charge lower rates, and once they have gained experience, they can increase their rates.

Whether online or offline we need to be selective of jobs. You need to go for those you have passion for.

Yes, do not to pursue jobs that you are not passionate about or familiar with. Some online freelancers pretend to have skills they do not actually possess, and because of this, they end up losing the job because the client finds out eventually.

If I already have tasks at hands, I am selective but if I do not have tasks I will grab anything I can get

Yes, go for it. Use whatever's at hand as long as you are capable of getting the job done.

Yes, they can be time-consuming. Some are scams and won’t pay for your efforts.

Nowadays things are going difficult, day by day. It is not very easy to get online jobs, if I get any job I won't be choosy I will just accept it and immediately start doing that job and complete it perfectly so I will get the next job soon.

Go ahead as long as you are capable of handling the job. It is best to avoid taking on tasks that are beyond your skills. Some freelancers online claim to be skilled at certain jobs when they really are not. so they end up losing it eventually.

I can't say that l am selective because l have to examine the legitimacy for the earning site before l sign up and start working out.

It is vital to thoroughly verify the legitimacy of any job opportunity or website before you start working. This involves researching the company or website, checking for review, etc.

From the comments we can agree that we are all selective. because you don't just jump on jobs online. You check them out first to know how legit they are.

Yes, we need to be selective. Let's not dive in without performing comprehensive research or checking reviews.
