As men and women age they tend to hide a lot of things in a relationship.

Nowadays very few people in India marry in their 20s. Both men and women are busy making their career and when they want to marry say in their 30s or 40s they hide a lot of things. Both men and women don't say their exact age. They hide their bad past and so on. I think this spoils the relationship after marriage. It's better to be frank about yourself if you want a healthy relationship.

True, they tend to omit a lot of things during their dating stage. I think it's better to let your partner know rather than hiding it.

Thanks for the advice. It's better to be honest about your bad past. Honesty and telling your true age will make your partner more accepting of you. Lying will lead you to an unhealthy lifestyle.
It may even ruin your life. You may go into depression unable to bear your partners lies.

Getting accepted even after being frank makes a person feel lighter.

@aninditasen, in my opinion, if a friendship or marriage begins with a lie, then another bigger lie will be created to cover up the previous lie, and the lie will definitely show bad or insincere intentions.
I agree as I have faced the pangs of lies. My in-laws told a lot of lies before marriage which created lot of problems after marriage.
