According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, Negros Island's Kanlaon Volcano released a one-minute ash plume.
Continuous degassing and intermittent ash releases have been seen at Kanlaon Volcano. On December 7th, the volcano emitted 3,891 tonnes of sulfur dioxide, sending a 200-meter-tall ash cloud west-southwest.
In addition, fourteen volcanic earthquakes were observed. Because of this, Kanlaon Volcano has been elevated to Alert Level 2.
