According to the report, Syria's ousted President Bashar al-Assad and his family are in Moscow, a Kremlin source told Russian news agencies. The announcement comes only hours after he reportedly fled the country as rebels entered Damascus."

The report said that Assad and members of his family have arrived in Moscow," Russian news agencies TASS and Ria Novosti reported. "Russia granted them asylum on humanitarian grounds," a source told the Russian state media.

The report also stated that a Western official said they believed that was likely the case and had no reason to doubt Moscow's claim, as per AFP. Meanwhile, Iran's top diplomat said that the ousted Syrian president had "never asked" for Tehran's aid against the rebels.

The report added that Abbas Araghchi said it was “surprising” the Syrian army couldn’t counter the rebel attack. Iran had backed the Syrian leader with military advisers during his country's years-long civil war.

Now Russia and Iran can focus on NATO, Ukraine, and Israel. A good strategy by China & Russia. China can focus USA. Turkey just become busy because of the double standard strategy. Now Turkey & Israel have more headaches because of ISIS & Kurdistan than Russia and Iran. Syrian need to stand on their own and not be used by any countries to prevent Iran and Russia take advantage of the Syrian new government

God Bless Israel.

The Syrian war have lasted for many years and a lot of international leaders are wary of the war. Moreover, most countries that are supporting the war have more problem at hand unlike before. Russia is fighting war with Ukraine while Iran is fighting Israel.

It's not about war, it's about the Syrian rebels that ousted the Assads and the fight that led the former Syrian president to seek assylum in Moscow. The Assads were brutal and had killed more or less 68 000 plus innocent Syrians.
