At what age should a person become financially independent?

A child that is being provided for should rightly get to a certain age and become financially independent. At what age range is a person generally expected to become financially independent? What age did you become financially independent?

I think that financial independence is should be attained at the age of 20 ideally. 23 at the latest.

I became financially independent at the age of 18. I was already working online by then. However, there were days when I didn't have an online job, so I still depended on my family at times.

I just feel that when someone is in the mid year in college z they should think of being financially independent.

Yes. from 18 years you should be able to be at least financially independent. you should have the money of your own.
