There are some customers we pitch our products to and follow up because we want to win them over and make them patronize us. At which point should you give up trying to convince a customer and pitch your products to them if they have still not patronized you?

For me l normally give potential customers three attempts. If they fail to patronize on my business for three months l usually give up with the following up with them.
I think I find this ideology very reasonable. I don't believe in putting all your energy to pursue one customer that would never yield results that is positive.

It is better to channel your energy to get people that have genuine interest about your products. Even the way people respond to you should help you know how interested the person is in your business.
Yes even the body language would show that they want to buy or not. So always try to look at it and know when to stop

One thing that we business people don't know is that it is not easy to drag someone that has a sure business they patronize. We need to take it step by step and give it time. When you try to rush, you might end up annoying the customer.

Try to ask questions from the customer to know if they already have a business they patronize for that product and how loyal they are. That would tell you if you should keep on pitching actively or retract a little bit.
You are right some loyal customers hardly patronize other businesses unless they are not good with the other services and want to try a new seller.

Never give up on any customer even if you have spend years trying to convince him or her. Everybody is a prospect which can patronize your business tomorrow.

Never give up on any customer. That's true. But you won't be spending the bulk of your energy and time chasing a customer that is not interested. But you can still be sending them ads and leads. Don't bug anyone.

I can only convince the customer up to three times failure to patronise on my business l forget about them.
True if there is no positive response on the third try, I doubt there would be any difference on the 4th try.

I think we should not try to force them to buy from us. Maybe one attempt is enough. Let's focus on selling our products to those who truly need them. There will always be others who will find our products valuable, even without us having to persuade them.
