The situation with the students kidnapped in Kebbi is truly distressing. It is heartening to know that the authorities and security forces are doing everything possible to locate and rescue the girls. The published list of names helps to humanize the situation, reminding us that these are people with families and lives that depend on this operation. I hope that the operations in the forests will be effective and that all the students, especially those still in captivity, will soon be recovered. Community solidarity and international support are vital in times like these. It is also important that the investigations continue and that measures are taken to prevent similar situations from happening again in the future. My thoughts are with the affected families and the girls who are still in danger.
