Avoid holiday debt while enjoying festivities

It’s easy to get carried away with gifts, parties, and travel during year-end. Last year I ended up with a small credit card debt I didn’t expect. This year I’m trying to be smarter about it, maybe homemade gifts or smaller celebrations. How do you enjoy the festive season without hurting your wallet?

I Establish a spending limit for the entire festive season and allocate funds for each category (gifts, decorations, travel, etc.).

People should not ground themselves financially because they want to celebrate festive period. It would still finish and we need to face normal lives.
