Backups of Whatsapp messages

Most whatsapp users are automatically deleting their messages after some time, and some of the important messages may get deleted after some time. Some members mentioned that they are taking backups, what app or software do they use?

Yes, this is a topic many of us overlook. WhatsApp has its own backup feature, which allows you to save chats to Google Drive (for Android) or iCloud (for iPhone). Personally, I always recommend enabling automatic daily or weekly backups so you don't lose important messages.
In addition to the official WhatsApp backup, there are third-party apps that some people use to archive chats, but you have to be careful because many require full permissions and could compromise your privacy. A safe option is to export specific chats as text or PDF files and save them to your personal cloud (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox).

I have scheduled my WhatsApp messages to be backed up to my Google account once every week. It has really helped me to recover my WhatsApp messages after I change my phone.

You don't really need to have an external app for Whatsapp backups from what i understand though. You can easily set your Whatsapp to automatically backup at a specific time.
