Balcony collapse near UC sends 10 to hospital, 1 with life-threatening injuries

According to the report, a balcony collapse at an apartment building on Stetson Avenue in Corryville resulted in 10 people being hospitalized. The incident is believed to have occurred during a celebration by students who had just taken an exam.

The balcony might be very old already, having a weak foundation, so it could not hold many people. They should have assessed the age and foundation f the balcony. They failed to sense if the balcony is made up of wood, better cement, or tiles.

Yes that's true, i have seen multiple cases like this hear in my country. They keep managing it until something bad happens.

How terrible it would seem in the actual scene a balcony collapsed. The owner of the building should have thoroughly check their balcony if fit to accommodate many people. I can't imagine their situation.
