According to the report, Bangladesh has seen a surge in violence and crime under the new interim government there. There was an attack on an air force base in Cox's Bazar today.
The report said that simultaneously, an anti-rape march took place in the capital Dhaka. There are reports of a surge in muggings. Law and order seem to have crumbled under the new Bangladeshi regime. But the interim government says that everything is fine.
The report added that in case the people don't buy this, the government has already launched a new attack on India. It seems this is the new playbook in Dhaka. When things go wrong, they blame India, and hope ordinary Bangladeshis look the other way.
Last week Islamists banned women from playing football in Bangladesh. I do not know what is going on in India's neighbor. Bangladesh's last year's protestors set the precedent of how to become violent and defy authority. Now it has ignited the chain reaction of rogue defiance among every random group. Is this karma?
