A mob in Chandpur on Monday night lynched popular Bangladeshi actor Shanto Khan and his father, Selim Khan, during unrest followed the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Selim Khan, the well-known owner of a production company in Bangladesh, was allegedly a supporter of Sheikh Hasina. He was subjected to violence as an ousted member of Sheikh Hasina's party, the Awami League, during her expulsion from the nation.
