According to the report, 13 years of war have left Syria in ruins, but its former leader, Bashar al-Assad, lived a life of luxury.

The report said that his palace in Damascus, filled with marble floors, crystal chandeliers, and priceless treasures, was a stark contrast to the suffering of ordinary Syrians.

The report also stated that Assad fled to Moscow last week, leaving behind a collapsed economy and a trail of destruction. Meanwhile, rebels are dismantling the $10 billion Captagon drug empire run by his brother, Maher al-Assad.

While the Assads live comfortably in exile, their legacy is one of opulence amidst tragedy. That is one roof that there is no forever. The corruption and brutal abuses of the Assads ended leaving Syria ruined its economy.
