Batangas, Philippines jailbreak: Inmates recaptured on bus

According to the report, authorities recaptured most of the inmates that escaped the Batangas Provincial Rehabilitation Center in Barangay Malainin, Ibaan, after a hot pursuit operation on Monday, July 28. Recovered from the suspects were a caliber 9mm pistol with 16 live ammunition and two magazines, a balisong (bladed weapon), cash amounting to ₱59,673, and assorted keys.

The police are so funny. No sense of direction. Knowing full well that other people in the bus can be taken as hostages at any time. The first response is to ensure the safety of the other people in the bus. This scenario would have turned bad if the escapees had decided to take hostages. A weapon was recovered in the bus. Shouting with their rifles, looking confused and scared. I saw only two policemen. Those jailbreakers seemed young, misguided, and had no parental guidance. Pitiful!
